Cat ArnoldQ. How long have you worked in the Automotive industry?
A. Since I graduated from college in 2005, though I took a hiatus for a few years to coach basketball at UVM. I have been with only this organization, and consecutively since June 2010.

Q. What was your first job in the car biz?
A. Technically…a greeter for Burlington Subaru’s WIFM sale in the summers I returned home from college, but full time was sales at Burlington Mitsubishi in summer of 2005.

Q. What do you like most about 802 Toyota?
A. The people and the culture. I am proud to work for the people who employ me, and just as proud to work with the people here every day.

Q. What one thing excites you most about being in your new position?
A. The experience itself. I am eager to learn the new layers of this industry that this position will provide.

Q. What will you do differently than previous GM’s?
A. Take maternity leave! That’s a tough question – my predecessors are people for whom I have the utmost respect, and they have established a work environment of which I am proud to be a part of. I hope that in whatever the future holds, they will continue to be proud of 802 Toyota.

Q. What is one, or two, things you hope to accomplish in the first six months in your new role?
A. Coming from the sales department I have an intimate knowledge and understanding of what sales entails, as well as the people involved. Over the next 6 months, I want to gain as much knowledge and understanding as possible in regards to the operations in ALL departments and get to know all personnel involved. Can I gain the same level of understanding I have in sales in 6 months? Absolutely not, but I have to start somewhere.

Q. Why should customers choose 802 Toyota?
A. Transparent experience with a dealer that values the customer’s experience. Are we perfect? No, but we own our mistakes and quite frankly have nothing to hide. We have an invested interest in being our community’s dealer, we just want the chance!

Q. What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
A. I love spending time with my family and close friends. I am an avid sports fan and enjoy competitive activities and games. I enjoy traveling, and can’t wait to do that again!

Q. Tell me about your family, pets, etc.
A. My husband, Mike, and I have a son named Jordy. We are expecting a second, and looking forward to being a family of 4. Mike and I both grew up in Vermont and are fortunate to have family close by, and tight-knit friendships.

Q. Your favorite Toyota vehicle?
A. They’re all great.
