Twin City Subaru Parts Manager

Summary:
The Parts Manager is responsible for customer retention and the profitability of the parts department. Assumes responsibility for the parts department’s customer satisfaction, efficiency, staffing, and orderliness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide cost estimates for the annual profit objective analysis and review the results with the General Manager
• Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
• Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
• Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments
• Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
• Monitor and adjusts inventory
• Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
• Supervise stock order procedures
• Work closely with service manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed
• Provide technical assistance when necessary
• Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all parts department employees.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years experience in parts management
• Technical automotive knowledge
• Management experience and skills
• Computer literacy
• Good communication skills
• Basic understanding of inventory and reporting
