802 Cars: Controller

802 Cars is seeking a qualified candidate to join our accounting team in our growing multi-store dealership group. This position reports directly to our Chief Accountant and will be responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely maintenance of our accounting systems, operating procedures, and support for transactions.

Key duties of this position include:

• Assistance with the hiring, training, and supervision of office personnel
• Ensuring compliance with regulations with government authorities such as the department of motor vehicles and tax departments
• Posting certain dealership transactions and reconciling select accounts on a regular basis
• Assistance with preparing complete financial statements monthly according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer’s format and time frame
• Stays abreast of current factory incentives and codes deliveries on dealership computer system accordingly
• Compiles information and prepares reports as requested by management and/or dealer principal

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, a problem solver, is proficient with excel, and has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of accounting.

Required Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
• CPA preferred
• Minimum of 3 years related experience
