802 Cars Cruisaders 802nd lap!

The Relay for Life of Central Vermont took place on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Spaulding High School in Barre, VT. The sun was shining, bands were playing, creamies were devoured, games were played, survivors, caregivers, family and friends walked and ran laps, and fundraising continued from 11:00 am until midnight!

Team 802 Cars Cruisaders had such a blast the past few months fundraising for the event, including the Purple Pie Challenge, $5 Friday BBQ lunches, and Casual Friday’s at each dealership located in Berlin, VT.

The team raised over $15,000 with more donations still trickling in, making them the 1st place fundraising team at this particular Relay. Dave Birmingham, chief Dog Walker & owner of 802Cars.com, received a 2nd place trophy for his individual fundraising efforts.

Over 30 walkers and runners joined the 802 Cars Cruisaders team throughout the day to help make their goal of 802 laps. This included an ultra-marathoner & 16 friends and family members of Dale Arleth: an employee of 802 Toyota who passed away from cancer in 2015. Oh, and we can’t forget some of Dave Birmingham’s family members that traveled over 300 miles to join in and walk over 300 miles at the Relay!
