Help Team Williams reach their new goal of $15,000 – click to donate!

In a show of support to 802 Toyota General Manager, Roger Williams and his family, Dave Birmingham, owner of 802Cars.com, has donated $10,000 to Team Williams. Jeremy, Roger’s son, has ALS and for the past three years Roger, his wife Theresa, friends and family have participated as a part of ‘Team Williams’ in the ‘Walk to Defeat ALS’ Northern New England Chapter’s Vermont Walk.

Last year ‘Team Williams’ raised $4,500, this year their goal was $5,000. The $10,000 donation from 802Cars.com vaulted them well over their original goal. Currently they have raised $12,275 and are hoping to surpass their new goal of $15,000 to help reach the overall Vermont Walk goal of $75,000.

“A HUGE thank you to Dave Birmingham and 802cars.com for the HUGE donation of $10,000.00 to team Williams and the ALS association. Dave and the teams at 802 Toyota, 802 Honda, and Twin City Subaru in Berlin, VT have been HUGE supporters of our family during this very difficult journey with my son Jeremy.

Every donation is HUGE so please help if you can and please join us for the walk on September 20th at Dorset park in South Burlington! The Williams Family is so grateful for all of our friends, family. And the people that just want to help.” said the Williams Family

More than just a few-mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for a cure, and to come together for something you care about. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event, which raises funds that allow our local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year.

Almost 30 people have registered to walk as part of ‘Team Williams’. On Sunday September 20th, they will join approximately 25 other teams and 200 individuals on the 2.5 mile trek through Dorset Park in South Burlington, VT. Check-in will begin at 10:30am with the walk starting at 11:30am. There is still time to register as a participant or to make a donation to ‘Team Williams‘ or any of the other walkers participating in this year’s walk.
