This year Shawn will be driving the all new #1 Late Model Toyota Camry for Hallstrom Motorsports at Thunder Road Speedbowl. Shawn Fleury brings to the team a great history of success at the Speedbowl racing in the Tiger Sportsman division and the Late Models. We got the chance to ask Shawn Fleury five questions about the new 2015 race car, his outlook for this season and more:
What are your goals for the 2015 Season? “We want to improve from the 2014 season last year and win a championship at Thunder Road.”
What’s new on the 2015 Car? “The whole entire car is new, our crew started from scratch.”
Any advice for the someone wanting to get into racing? “It takes a lot of time, work, money but most importantly you need to work hard.”
How do you and the crew prepare for upcoming races? “Our team has a work night everyone gets together, a list of things that need to get done on the car, check lists, repairs, all set-up weekly.”
What makes the Vermont racing community different from other states? “I like how well Thunder Road is run, there are more cars, and more fans.”
