Toyota Tundra used during the Space Shuttle Endeavor transport is featured in the Giant Lever Exhibit

Toyota Tundra - California Science Center

Toyota Tundra - Space Shuttle EndeavorAfter partnering with Toyota Motor Sales, the California Science Center unveiled the Toyota Tundra that was used to tow the Space Shuttle Endeavor through Los Angeles. Two five year-old “future astronauts” dressed in the classic orange jumpsuits and showed spectators the science behind the lever that featured the Tundra. The lever has a beam that pivots on a fulcrum, and mini-astronauts Noah Lara and Samantha Comiskey showed that if you stand farther away from the fulcrum you can apply less force to lift the Toyota Tundra.

Toyota also presented a check to the California Science Center foundation for $401,300, which was raised by twitter followers re-tweeted to raise the money.
