The new Prius C sold 1,201 units in just the first three days of its debut on the market, making it one of Toyota’s fastest-selling vehicles, according to Toyota. Not only that, but its competitors, the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf sold less than that amount in the entire previous month.

In Japan, Toyota took more than 120,000 orders in the first five days. I guess it’s very popular there, eh? The Prius family has sold more than 10,000 in the U.S. since the beginning of March, and Toyota estimates that they will sell roughly 220,000 this year (after selling 136,463 last year).

Want one too? Don’t blame you. I can say as a Prius owner there’s just nothing like filling your tank once a week, even with a 45-minute commute. Check out ourĀ Prius inventory online to browse our selection and see if rare fill-ups and an exceptional vehicle are for you!
